Aurora Glade HM bonus
Picked this up on the z-mission a couple of days ago. Failed like 5 times, eventually got lucky and had a Dervish in a PUG that ran the crystals while we were all dead and got it for us (wish I remember your name! you were awesome)
Anyways, need the bonus in HM. I find both wikis very unclear, I don't even understand where/when Demagogue spawns.
From what I understand, wiping out the White Mantle while camping in the middle is the way to go.
Not working. All the Pugs just aren't organized, so we wipe. I tried with Discordway but a carrier gets past us.
Advice? help? I notice that in the Services Offered thread that this mission is often ommited.

This mish us a BITCH even in NM. You will want an organized party if possible. You need snares for runner, and lots of them. You will most likely want someone with a speed boost to run your own crystals and possibly a perma or something of the like to go off the demagogue.

I was able to do this bonus easily with a pug
you need one person that can run the shrines and keep control of 2 of the shrines. if the white mantle caps it then recap it.
the other team memeber can walk around to the back and kill demagogue. he is alone if you dont agro the other bad guys.
when he dies the runner can then run the crystals to the 3 shrines and u will teleport to the next location

I find bringing some running skills and a ranged res while letting henchmen die
You grab the white mantle's crystal, they stand around, you revive all henchmen, kill Demagogue while every other enemy stands around going wtf crystal.
After about 12 attempts on my derv I had to do it this way with rebirth, but worked, Lol.
Oh, and as for making it to the ranger without him dying, hold in alt+ctrl, as soon as warriors+him are in range, STOP. He will SLOWLY kill both warriors without them ganking him instantly, that was another huge problem for me.

Camp on the tele and use minions to body block runners. Bring you move like a dwarf and save it for the runner.
Dont try to run crystals, just kill all of the white mantle. Camping on the tele is tough and most likely ur going to be fighting 3 groups at once, pull back a little and kill what u can.
After u kill ALL of the groups go to where they were spawning and u'll find the demagoue alone, dont put the crystals in until u kill him

That's what I don't get. Camp where? Keep two shrines blue or one? Which ones?
ETA: And I only need the bonus, the main mission is done.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I want to kill EVERYTHING until its safe to find the Demogauge, right? Once the White Mantle stops coming, I'm good to go track him down? correct?
Like I said, both wikis are very unclear, or am I just dense?

I just H/H'd it today to finish my Legendary Guardian title. it's not too bad if you run crystals and let your heroes/henchies whittle them down.

To get bonus, I flagged my henchmen in the middle, snuck around the white mantle, and killed the Demagogue 1v1. Killed him 2 seconds before my party failed the mission.

Funnily enough I ended up in this situation myself; I successfully H/H'd the mission (HM), and didn't realize you couldn't get credit for the bonus after killing the bonus guy. So I had to do it again, except the second time I tried to do the whole mission again, I actually failed.
So here is what I did to get the bonus only, which made it real easy. Take the first crystal and go near the left shrine. Don't engage, but as soon as they leave, convert that shrine. Then immediately cut across the center to the far right of the map, and head straight for the boss guy. You don't need to fight anyone else, and I had more than enough time to kill him before they converted the other shrines; he goes down super fast.

After four or five fails where my party managed to aggro the entire farking White Mantle instead of staying put on the shrine and picking them off one group at a time, I decided to do it the extreme cheese way:
You need necrotic traversal/consume corpse, some vamp weapons/sacrifice skills, and rebirth/rebirth signet, plus at least one extra human if you want to do the mission at the same time. Don't attune the second pair of crystals. Kill the pig on the other side of the vine gate and teleport a few team members across. Leave at least one human back if you're aiming for the mission too. The Demagogue will spawn very, very alone. Gank him. Then to add insult to injury, steal the crystal from the Mantle's crystal stand. When your remaining human attunes the remaining crystals, the Mantle will mill about hopelessly confused with no leader and no crystal.

Here's what you do, you need a runner though.
The runner must cap either the East or West crystal to start with, forget the one closest to you.
After that, the rest of the group stands there and defeats the first wave that comes in.
While the party is fighting that first wave, the runner must capture the other shrine continuously. Remember that the whole group returns back to base if there is no engagement at the shrine.
So the runner caps the other shrine until the main group defeats the first group.
THEN REPEAT!!!!
As for Gigashadow's suggestion... that's very interesting! I think I'll have to try that myself.

I did this mission using the 4-man Sabway build, with Alesia and Orion. Really, all you need is a team that can fight a single mob of White Mantle without your assistance.
First you want to cap the closest shrine.
After that, flag your henchmen and heroes on the middle hill. Spread them out to avoid Savant AoE nuking.
Your job is to run the crystals. A running skill is recommended, but I'm not sure if necessary.
Run to the left shrine (East shrine?), then wait for the first mob to get there. As soon as you see them pass the intersection, cap the shrine (doing it earlier will make them run your way). You will lose the middle shrine, but don't worry about it.
Your team should be fighting the first mob right now. Run back to grab another crystal, cap the middle shrine, then grab another crystal.
Now you sit and wait until the left shrine gets capped by the enemies, then run and cap it back (once they've left).
And that's basically it. Keep the left shrine going back and forth until your team has killed the mob its fighting. After that, you go back to step one. Doing this will make sure you have one shrine capped at all time, and keep your team from fighting more than one mob at a time. Once the mobs stop coming, kick the crap out of the Demagogue.

When killing the group with the white mantlecrystal runners, its better to save the crystal carrier for last. Or else another group will join the fight and you will be swamped.
@gameshoes - if you are going to dedicated a slot for a runner might as well make it a perma and have it tank all the white mantle. With this method the rest of the party just have to kill one white mantle crystal runner at a time who can not use any skills at all.

^This.
If you have it, You Move Like A Dwarf! is a great asset to KD + Cripple the Mantle's runner at range. A MM will be great to have as well, since your H/H will be facing the Mantle without you and need all the help they can get. Keep the middle shrine capped and take the left one whenever possible, and engage any hostiles that run near. You'll know it's safe to kill the Demagogue when there aren't anymore Mantle coming.

The way I do it takes some time, but it always works, even with H/H.
1. Cap the Closest Shrine.
2. Cap a second shrine, and dump your H/H just in front of it (towards where the White Mantle come from).
3. Let the H/H pick off enemies a few at a time. Doesn't even matter if they stop the runner, as long as they kill stuff between passes.
4. Recap whatever the Mantle take, right after they take it.
5. When the White Mantle stop coming, go kill the bonus guy.

The simple method is to have a single runner while the rest of your party takes the back route to kill the boss, who is can be pulled by himself and wiped with ease. Then go back and finish the crystal run plus mission.
The back route is found by going down the right hand side until you pass the far shrine.

I thought it was relatively simple, if you can get pugs who understands instructions. I got a discordway group and got 2 crystal runners. You will bump into 2 groups of moss scrabs but they are manageable. One of the runners must be an Mo/R, R/Mo, W/Mo, D/Mo, etc... with running skills and mark of protection/ Healing Hands for Less Longbow in case he gets agrooed. The discordway group will do most of the damage and will sneak from behind and kill the Demagogue. The 2 runners will just make sure that 2 points are capped and cap the last one once the discordway group kill the Demagogue. I did it for a couple of my toons already and half of them in the first try.
The runners don't need 33% speed buff but 25% is good enough. IE wars, probably need sprint and Enraging charge. Ranger primaries and secondaries need storm chaser and Natural stride.

Here's what I did, equiped Necrotic Transversal, got to the bit just before bit where you have to run the chrystals. Instead of initiating it, I killed the warthog the other side of the blockade, transversed over, killed the demonogue unopposed and ran the chrystals unopposed. Mind you it took a few tries to get the lucky warthog spawn!
